About Me:

Dr. Narasimalu Srikanth is the Senior scientist and Program director leading the Wind and Marine energy harvesting activities in Energy research institute at Nanyang Technological University. He has more than twenty years of industrial experience and prior to NTU, he was the director and senior Specialist in Vestas Wind Systems leading the key research activities in Aeromechanics related to new generation wind turbines. His two Masters and first Doctoral degree were focused in Materials and Mechanical engineering related to Dynamic Machinery studies and his second Doctoral Degree focused in Technology Management from National University of Singapore. He is a member of ASME, ASM, ASPE, IEEE and MRS(S).

 

Key research interests are in offshore renewables including resource mapping, tidal device studies and offshore wind turbine studies. From a competence point of view, focus is on design optimization, fluid structure interaction, sturtural health monitoring and environmental impact. From promoting renewables research is also on technoeconomics and policy making aspect specific to tropical region.
